Time Voice Box “ALEX”

In many competitions the pilots have experienced that during a competition - both Precision Flying and Navigation Flying - all human senses except the hearing are very tense. Hearing is generally used only for engine controlling or for communication. This consideration forced the “Deutschen Präzisionsflug Verein” in the past to develop a mechanical - electronically Time Voice Box whose “voice” announced the time  in minutes and seconds every fifteen seconds. With this devise the pilot was released from monitoring time and could concentrate on more important subjects .
